Position OverviewHatch Advertising is seeking a detail-oriented Media Coordinator / Buyer, & Content Specialist to join our Spokane Valley team. This position combines two core functions in roughly equal parts: purchasing and managing advertising across traditional and streaming media, and producing video and photo content for client ads, social media, and wherever else client video and imagery run.

The Media Coordinator / Buyer & Content Specialist is responsible for negotiating, placing, verifying, and reconciling media buys across radio, television, print, outdoor, direct mail, and their streaming equivalents, and for shooting and editing the video and photography behind client advertising, social media, and marketing. As part of a small agency team, this position may also assist with digital marketing services beyond these core areas as client needs require.

Candidates with strong experience in one area and a demonstrated interest in developing the other are encouraged to apply.

•    Traffic creative, copy, and tags to vendors accurately and on deadline, coordinating specifications with the creative team

•    Resolve under-delivery, missed placements, and billing discrepancies with vendors

•    Reconcile vendor invoices against schedules and negotiated rates for handoff to billing

•    Website content updates

•    Misc. administrative tasks

Documentation•    Maintain organized records of vendor contacts, rates, buy history, schedules, and client co-op requirements

Key Responsibilities — Content Creation•    Shoot video and photography supporting all client needs — TV and streaming spots, social media ads and content, websites, and anywhere else client video runs — including on-location work at client businesses and events

•    Edit video for every placement — broadcast, streaming, social, and web: cuts, audio, color, captions, and platform-specific formats and specs

•    Coordinate content deliverables with account and media teams to meet campaign timelines and vendor deadlines

•    Assist with digital marketing services outside these core areas — such as social content, email, or SEO — as assigned

QualificationsPreferred•   Experience in media buying, media sales, or agency/station operations

•   Strong understanding of media metrics, including reach, frequency, impressions, CPM, and GRPs

•   Demonstrated videography and photography skills — camera, lighting, audio, and editing — supported by a reel or portfolio. We work primarily in Adobe Creative Cloud; comparable tools are acceptable.

•   Strong written and verbal communication skills

•   Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines independently

•   Strong work ethic and a track record of taking initiative

•   A team player who works well in a small, collaborative agency

•   Familiarity with regional Northwest media markets (Spokane, Coeur d'Alene, Lewiston)

•   Co-op advertising experience

•   Experience editing video and photography in Lightroom, Premiere Pro or equivalent

Training & OnboardingThis position includes a structured transition period.
