Media Strategy Analyst (Ad Sales / Research) [81944]

We are seeking a Media Strategy Analyst to support a high-performing Category Strategy team within a leading media organization. This role is highly focused on audience measurement, syndicated research, and insight development, with a strong emphasis on hands-on proficiency in tools like Nielsen nPower and Comscore.

This is a fast-paced, execution-focused contract role, where the ideal candidate can quickly step in to analyze audience data, generate actionable insights, and support strategic recommendations for ad sales and client initiatives.

Media Strategy Analyst Key Responsibilities:

Utilize Nielsen nPower, Comscore, and other syndicated research tools to analyze audience behavior, media consumption, and competitive positioningExtract and translate data into clear, business-forward insights and actionable recommendationsBuild audience profiles, segment analyses, and ranking frameworks (“rankers”) to support sales strategy and RFP responsesApply appropriate indices, metrics, and methodologies to validate insights and strengthen storytellingSupport the development of sales narratives, go-to-market materials, and strategic positioningPartner cross-functionally with research, sales, and strategy teams to deliver insights that align with client objectivesWork efficiently within tight timelines, contributing immediately to team output and workload demands

Media Strategy Analyst Required Qualifications

2–4 years of experience in media research, ad sales strategy, audience insights, or media analyticsStrong hands-on proficiency with Nielsen nPower and Comscore (required)Experience working with syndicated research tools and applying them to real business use casesSolid understanding of media metrics, audience measurement, and industry terminologyProven ability to turn data into actionable insights that influence business decisionsComfortable working in a fast-paced, SLA-driven environment with a focus on speed and accuracyStrong communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain methodologies, insights, and recommendations

Can quickly and confidently navigate Nielsen and Comscore tools without heavy ramp-upDelivers insight-driven outputs (not just data pulls) that directly support recommendationsApplies the right metrics, indices, and modules to strengthen analysisEffectively supports team workload by producing accurate, timely, and actionable insightsDemonstrates ability to influence decisions using audience/viewership data
