Membership and Advertising Specialist

Generate leads and recruit new members for the Chamber.Use a customer relationship management (CRM) system to track membership details, outreach and performance metrics.Maintain a steady pipeline of potential new members and consistently follow up as needed.Create and present engaging presentations to prospective members using remote meeting tools (Zoom).Assist new members with a seamless transition into Chamber programs and services.Encourage membership engagement in Chamber programs and educate new/potential members on the value of membership.Identify opportunities for new member engagement in sponsorships, programs, and other opportunities.Works with the Senior Membership and Advertising Specialist for training, guidance, and support.Meet periodically with President/CEO and Membership/Advertising team to share feedback and ideas from prospective members.Collaborate with staff to create marketing and sales materials for membership development.Promote and sell advertising in Greater Riverside Business (GRB), the Chambers’ monthly newspaper, and other Chamber products and services.Stay updated on Chamber programs, advocacy efforts, member benefits, events, and services.Actively support and participate in Chamber events and activities.Meet revenue goals for membership and advertising.Complete additional tasks as assigned by the President/CEO and Vice Presidents. Proven sales experience with a “hunter” mentality – comfortable making daily cold calls.Comfortable presenting to a broad variety of business leaders (small business owners to executives).Strong closing and negotiation abilities.Self-starter with a professional demeanor and presentation of self with an outgoing personality.Ownership of performance as well as capacity to use metrics and new strategies to communicate value to potential clients.Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.Excellent oral and written communication and customer service skills.Knowledge of the local community and regional economy is preferred.Familiar with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, remote meeting platforms, and audio/visual equipment.Skilled in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment.Ability to work as a member of a team or independently with limited supervision.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Bilingual is a plus. Full-time; $40,000 annual base salary plus commissionMedical, dental and vision benefits are offered after introductory period 10% commission: $1 - $1,999 in monthly membership revenue15% commission: $2,000-$4499 monthly membership revenue20% commission: $4,500+ in monthly membership revenue 15% commission on new and renewed advertising contracts.
