Multimedia Communications SpecialistThe Multimedia Communications Specialist leads Singing River Health System’s public relations and media relations efforts, driving compelling content creation across multiple channels to strengthen the organization’s reputation and brand presence through strategic communications, storytelling, and creative multimedia content.Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Location: Remote, Mississippi.Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and manage public relations strategies that enhance brand visibility.Prepare and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other communications materials.Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets and partners.Create and edit multimedia content (video, graphics, written) for digital platforms.Collaborate with creative teams on advertising concepts and brand assets.Coordinate projects with external vendors such as videographers, agencies, and other media partners.Monitor media coverage and analyze the impact of communication campaigns.Qualifications & ExperienceMinimum of 2 years’ experience in public relations and media relations, including effective writing and media partnership development. Proven storytelling and content creation skills across written and video formats, with demonstrated multimedia production and editing expertise for digital platforms. Experience in advertising concept development and collaboration with creative teams. Strong organizational, project management, and vendor coordination skills. Healthcare experience is preferred.EducationBachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Multimedia Production, or a related field preferred.CertificationsDe‑escalation training completed within 90 days of orientation.ReportingReports to: Director of Digital Strategy. Supervises: None.Physical & Mental DemandsWork is moderately active, requiring frequent movement and occasional travel within the SRHS service area.
