Join our leadership team at Nevada Ballet Theatre as Director of Advertising and play a key role in connecting audiences to world-class ballet performances through data-driven campaigns and creative storytelling.About the RoleAs Director of Advertising, this is a hands-on position where you’ll lead the development, execution, and performance oversight of integrated advertising campaigns that drive ticket sales, audience engagement, and elevate brand awareness.You’ll report directly to the Chief Advancement Officer, working cross-functionally with teams across Communications, Sales & Patron Services, and also supervising Graphic Design to plan seasonal production campaign rollouts, develop high-performing copy, and oversee the execution of both digital and traditional media buys. The ideal candidate brings a strong ability to cultivate and maintain media relationships, leveraging those partnerships to negotiate favorable cash and trade agreements. Flexibility is needed to work additional hours if needed and for weekend and evening events during the year. This is not a remote or hybrid position. Key ResponsibilitiesLead planning and strategy for all advertising campaigns across the season, including subscription drives, single-ticket pushes, and special event promotions.Collaborate with our external digital agency to review and guide paid campaign strategies across social, programmatic, OTT/CTV, SEM/display, and retargeting.Plan, place, and manage traditional media buys (TV, radio, print), including contracts and relationships.Write persuasive marketing copy for ads, emails, landing pages, and paid digital that drives clicks and conversions.Work closely with the Senior Director of Communications to align messaging across paid, earned, and organic channels.Partner with Sales and Patron Services to align advertising with sales goals, audience segmentation, and promotions.Manage campaign timelines, deliverables, and marketing calendar to ensure smooth execution.Analyze performance reports and work with the digital partner to assess ROAS, identify optimizations, and adjust creative or strategy as needed.Collaborate on the development of creative assets in partnership with the Graphic Designer and freelance vendors (photographers, videographers).Build and manage advertising budgets, production costs, and in-kind/trade media agreements.Cultivate relationships with local media outlets and community partners for added value and promotional opportunities.Qualifications7–10 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or media strategy — ideally within performing arts, live events, or entertainment.Strong understanding of paid media channels, especially social, video, programmatic, and display (strategy-level knowledge; hands-on execution not required).Experience managing or working closely with external media buying agencies or ad partners.Proven success in running campaigns that drive measurable sales results (ticketing, memberships, etc.
