Now Hiring: Assistant Director of Purchasing (FT/Benefits)

The ideal candidate will manage relationships with key internal (e.g., sales, sales management, marketing) and external business partners (e.g., product vendors and buying group agents), as well as oversee the purchasing department in the absence of the Director or Purchasing. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Merchandising/Purchasing 1) Work with the Director of Purchasing to set and maintain regular base and promotional prices in a manner that supports corporate sales, gross margin and GMROI objectives. 4) Drive the development (with Director of Purchasing and Sales Management) and Implementation (with Sales Management) of the merchandising plan and tailor it to store size/location, periodically reviewing and updating as necessary. f. Assist with the development of vignette plans and product selection. Advertising/Marketing 1) Provide the Graphics Designers and Marketing team with appliance model numbers, prices and other pertinent product information for all advertising, with input provided from the Director of Purchasing, Sales Management, data from the internal ERP/Point-of-Sale system (Storis), and Vendor Partner MAP policies.
