Order Management Position- Full Time

ORDER MANAGEMENT POSITION ASC Scientific, founded in 1983, is a small business located in Narragansett, RI, which specializes in the manufacture and sale of geology & geophysical equipment to educational, government and commercial customers worldwide. We currently have an open position for management of online and traditional orders and contribution to other sales and advertising activities. RESPONSIBILITIES (experience in any of these areas is a plus but is not necessary) Process online, telephone and written purchase orders for geology equipment Create and Send Invoices and Process Payments in QuickBooks Retrieve merchandise from small warehouse, pack and ship using FedEx/US Postal software – normally 5 – 20 orders per day Receive and shelve incoming merchandise from suppliers Assist with additional tasks, such as: -Placing orders with suppliers -Preparing quotations for customers -Taking physical inventory each quarter -Assist with website updates under direction of webmaster FULL TIME POSITION SALARY RANGE: estimated range of $18 – 25 / HR - based on experience BENEFITS: Eligibility for Paid Vacation and Simple IRA Retirement Plan after 1 year include company match.
