The University of Pennsylvania's Linguistic Data Consortium (LDC) is seeking a part-time Outreach Coordinator to assist in promoting a variety of language research projects to the public. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for researching, maintaining and updating social media platforms and other online materials to help promote research projects under the direction of LDC staff. This is an hourly-paid, part-time, temporary position starting in November 2021\. Required Qualifications/Skills • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking, comprehension) • Demonstrated proficiency with social media platforms • Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills • Reliable, mature and able to adhere to a schedule • Good writing and editing skills • Adaptable to changing requirements Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience with advertising and promotion on social media • Experience with word processing and graphic design software • Background or interest in language, language technologies, citizen science, or games with a purpose • College level education LDC offers a friendly, diverse and stimulating work environment, with flexible scheduling within normal business hours.
