From beach festivals and sporting events to tournaments and large-scale gatherings, you’ll be on the front lines representing Shibumi in high-traffic, high-impact settings.Event Specialists are responsible for executing best-in-class brand activations — including product demos, consumer engagement, and delivering a polished, professional brand presence you’re outgoing, reliable, and energized by fast-paced environments, this is your chance to help create the days people dream about.While this is a traveling role, we are prioritizing candidates located in the following markets:FloridaCaliforniaTexasNorth CarolinaApplicants from other states are absolutely welcome — but proximity to major coastal event markets is a strong plus.Success in this roleMeasured by:Quality of event executionConsumer engagement volume and qualityProduct trial and demo impactProfessional brand representationPost-event reporting and operational excellenceThis individual thrives in fast-paced environments, is comfortable traveling frequently, and takes pride in creating polished, high-impact brand experiences.Core ResponsibilitiesExecute Large-Scale Brand ActivationsTravel to assigned events throughout the season (travel accommodated by Shibumi)Set up and manage Shibumi’s activation footprint (shade lounges, demo zones, branded displays, etc. )Ensure all branding is clean, consistent, and visually compellingManage setup and teardown efficiently and professionallySupport local capture initiatives (QR Codes, SMS opt-ins) to help build owned audiences within the marketEvents may include: Beach sports tournaments; Sand-based festivals; National partner eventsDrive Product Demonstration & Consumer EngagementEducate consumers on Shibumi’s products through live demonstrationsConfidently speak to product features, benefits, and brand storyEncourage hands-on product interaction and trialCapture high-quality leads and/or direct sales where applicableRepresent the brand with enthusiasm and professionalismOperate as a High-Performance Team MemberCollaborate with team members to divide responsibilities effectivelyCommunicate clearly and proactively during eventsProblem-solve in real time when faced with weather, crowd, or logistical challengesLogistics & Equipment ManagementAssist with loading, transporting, and organizing event kitsTrack and report inventoryFollow activation playbooks and operational guidelines preciselyEvent Reporting & FeedbackSubmit post-event recaps including Engagement metrics, Operational learnings, and other on-the-ground insights to help improve future activationsSeasonal ExpectationsParticipate in online team trainingTravel frequently throughout peak season (Spring/Summer)Execute 10-15 Shibumi activationsPrimarily available Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Spring to FallBe available for multi-day eventsAssist with transportation of event materials (travel logistics coordinated by Shibumi)This Role RequiresComfort with frequent travelAbility to lift and move event materials (up to ~50 lbs)Willingness to work outdoors in sand, heat, wind, and variable weather conditionsHigh energy and stamina during long activation daysStrong communication skills and comfort approaching strangersIdeal Candidate ProfileOutgoing, confident, and engaging personalityExperience in events, experiential marketing, hospitality, sports marketing, or brand promotions preferredStrong attention to detail and professionalismComfortable speaking about products in a clear, compelling wayOrganized and dependablePassion for outdoor lifestyle and beach cultureAbout ShibumiFounded in 2016 by two brothers and their best friend in North Carolina, Shibumi has redefined shade with its lightweight, premium, easy-to-use designs.
