Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience5+ years of experience in marketing communications, technical writing, or content development2+ years of experience writing or editing in a regulated environment such as healthcare, health plans, insurance, or similarMust reside in California and be able to work long term as a client employee if convertedAbility to occasionally come onsite for in-person team collaboration, Sacramento area preferredExperience with compliance-driven, member-facing, or stakeholder-facing communicationsAbility to translate regulatory requirements into clear, member-friendly communicationsStrong writing, editing, proofreading, and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple communication deliverables independently with minimal ramp-up Preferred Requirements: Experience supporting health plan operations or payer communicationsFamiliarity with CMS, state regulatory guidelines, HPMS, or healthcare compliance frameworksExperience partnering with legal, compliance, operations, marketing, and leadership teamsProject management or vendor management experienceLocal to the Sacramento area or within reasonable commuting distanceExperience with Medicare member materials, enrollment communications, or regulated health plan marketing
