Pressroom Manager

Prairie Mountain Media, a subsidiary of MediaNews Group (MNG), is looking to hire an individual for a key role within the production team. You will play an essential role supporting the production team to ensure accurate fulfillment of print products. This candidate must be a team player who is looking to further enhance their professional growth and learn valuable strategic and leadership skills all while working with a great team. MediaNews Group offers news reporting and third party advertising and marketing opportunities through its multi-platform products which include: web, mobile, tablet, and print. What we are looking for: 5+ years’ experience operating offset newspaper presses Manpower staffing & scheduling Effective oral and written communication skills – must be able to communicate effectively within the department and with other departments Service minded individual that works well with internal and external customers Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications Troubleshooting instincts in all Pressroom areas Responsible for newsprint inventory and monthly newsprint order Leadership & general managing skills Physically able to perform the essential functions of the job in a manufacturing/production environment.
