Proofreader, Advertising Agency, Contract

We are recruiting for a temp Proofreader to on-site for an advertising agency in Jacksonville, FL. The Temp Proofreader must have experience proofreading advertising collateral. He or she will review materials for accurate use of grammar and content along with reviewing to ensure style and language are compliant with client requirements and regulatory guidelines. Reviews all cross-channel marketing materials to ensure: • Accuracy of spelling, grammar, punctuation, syntax and context • Accuracy of references and other data • Compliance with client, brand and regulatory guidelines • Consistency and accuracy of layout components • Overall sense, continuity, consistency, clarity and presentation • Ensures all deadlines are met • Interacts with the Account and Creative teams to resolve issues, negotiate revisions and verify information whenever necessary • Ability to accurately review complex materials with excellent attention to detail • Must have a good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat • Excellent project management skills, highly organized and ability to multitask effectively, without losing accuracy or detail-orientation • Excellent team player with good interpersonal skills • Operates effectively and with flexibility in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Must have background in and knowledge of advertising/marketing collateral Temp Proofreader Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in English, Writing, Journalism or Communications • Minimum 2+ years of professional proofreading experience, preferably in advertising agency • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, re-prioritize and adhere to deadlines • Ability to identify resources (Internet, reference materials, etc.)
