Public Relations Specialist

Duties and Responsibilities: \\- Assist company with creating and maintaining a favorable public image to consumers, industry, local community, and employees \\- Identify media opportunities \\- Develop press materials for media outlets, including press releases, feature articles, and trend stories \\- Develop and pitch story/content ideas to media \\- Monitor social media for industry and local opportunities for company/CEO to contribute as thought leader \\- Help monitor and maintain the identity and reputation of Prospect Home Finance \\- Evaluate public opinion of clients through surveys, polls, and social media engagement and listening (company and CEO profiles) \\- Cultivate and maintain relationships with regional and national media outlets \\- Arrange for press conferences, interviews, and other media and event appearances for Jason Vondrak and other management and team members \\- Assist with internal and external executive messaging (including speech writing/interview prep) \\- Respond to requests for information from media outlets \\- Evaluate advertising and promotional programs to ensure they align with PR goals and brand standards \\- Track, evaluate, and share results of PR efforts \\- Strategize and help coordinate companywide internal communications (on the executive level, i.e., large company announcements, changes, etc.) Minimum Requirements: \\- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related preferred \\- At least 3 years of Public Relations Experience or related \\- Portfolio of press work \\- Able to work well in a collaborative, fast-paced environment \\- Self-starter with a great attitude \\- Must possess strong organizational, oral, written, and computer skills. \\- Advanced English communication skills, both written and oral \\- Must be authorized to work in the United States Benefits and Perks: \\- PTO after 90 days of employment \\- 401k match of 3% after 90 days of employment \\- 50% medical and dental coverage after 30 days of employment (75% coverage after 2 years) \\- Additional bonus perks and prizes such as lunches or gift cards \\- Snacks and energy drinks onsite \\- Walking distance from the beach \\- Golf cart \\- Side yard break lounge with fire pit and corn hole \\- A company culture like no other!
