Position Overview
For more than 40 years, the Florida Outdoor Advertising Association (FOAA) has served as the leading advocate for the outdoor advertising industry, representing member interests before local governments, regulatory agencies, and within the Florida Legislature. Through strategic advocacy, industry communication, and high-impact programs, FOAA works to protect, promote, and advance the role of outdoor advertising across the state.
The Public Service - Communications Director plays a critical role in advancing that mission. By leading FOAA’s statewide public service initiatives, this position directly contributes to how the industry is perceived by communities, policymakers, and key stakeholders across Florida.

Based in our downtown Tallahassee office, this is an in-person position within a small, close-knit organization. The person in this role must be comfortable operating independently, exercising sound judgment, and being trusted with responsibilities that are both visible and impactful. Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to think ahead, problem-solve in real time, and represent the organization with professionalism in any setting.
This role is best suited for a confident, composed professional who takes initiative, holds themselves to a high standard, and understands the importance of getting both the big picture and the details right.
