Public Service- Communications Director

The individual in this position serves as a key external representative of FOAA, managing relationships with member companies, state agencies, and public safety leaders. Based in our downtown Tallahassee office, this is an in-person position within a small, close-knit organization. Attention to detail is critical, as is the ability to think ahead, problem-solve in real time, and represent the organization with professionalism in any setting. Manage contracts, documentation, and program records with accuracy and accountabilityTrack budgets, campaign activity, and key metricsPrepare concise, professional reports for leadership and board members 2+ years of experience in communications, public relations, program management, or a related fieldA bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, or a related field may be considered in lieu of up to 1 year of professional experienceExceptional written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to tone and detailProven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high standard of workDemonstrated experience interacting with external stakeholders in a professional setting
