Research Analyst

Under the general supervision of the Research Administration Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the budgetary and financial management and administration of extramural contracts, grants, and gifts from a wide variety of funding sources and all university generated research funds and cost share commitments for the Baskin School of Engineering (BSOE). The Research Analyst team develops processes for the BSOE, and provides budgetary analysis and innovative solutions to diverse types of problems and situations by applying university, state, federal, and private sector policies and procedures. BSOE staff are an integral part of the school's community. Whether they're helping students navigate the sometimes knotty world of engineering degrees, assisting faculty with course materials, or managing the financial accounting, BSOE staff are dedicated to the education and research endeavors of the school. A computer is available at the UC Santa Cruz Staff Human Resources Office located at Scotts Valley Center.
