To learn more about Action RV, our core values and what we are all about, visit; www.actionrv.com Parts Manager– Job Description Title Parts Manager Reports To General Manager Summary The Parts Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Branch’s Parts Department in compliance with the company’s established policies and procedures. Job Duties  Build the organization by establishing parts department policies and procedures to develop: o The skill and knowledge of all parts department personnel o Good attitudes and pride in individual and overall store appearance o Full utilization of automated inventory control system o Continual interaction with all departmental personnel  Develop sales and gross profits by: o Establishing realistic sales objectives o Actively engaging in all parts and supply acquisitions o Encouraging aggressive marketing by all parts department employees; o Effective merchandising and advertising methods within budget allocation, including taking advantage of all manufacturers' inventory co-op advertising; o Establishing a competitive parts pricing policy while maximizing profitability; o Ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining an efficient and effective level of service and handling customer complaints immediately and according to the dealership's guidelines o Working with the service manager and service advisors to ensure a timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs; o Analyzing sales, expenses and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals; o Developing and utilizing a lost sales tracking report; o Monitoring daily reports such as parts profit per parts invoice, parts gross margin percentage, and sales productivity.  Supervisory Responsibilities: o Hiring, training, motivating, counseling and monitoring the performance of all parts department staff by: o Ensuring every employee has a thorough understanding of his or her duties and responsibilities o Providing programs to ensure the rise in productivity of each employee benefiting both the company and the individual o Effectively cross training to ensure there is a minimum of one qualified person to fill in each specific job position including the Parts Manager’s position o Leading by example and displaying professional and ethical conduct at all times o Holding weekly department meetings o Monitoring parts department employees' payroll records o Supervises custodians to ensure that the work area is kept clean o Directing outside parts and counter sales efforts, including a telemarketing program to keep in contact with customers o Directing shipping and receiving efforts to ensure timely processing o May sometimes be required to perform the duties of the parts department staff.
