Senior Director, Lifestyle

The Lede Company New York, New York $160,000–$185,000 a year

We are seeking a Senior Director to lead a major corporate client business through a consumer and cultural lens. This leader will oversee a large, multi-faceted client relationship, bringing strong corporate brand experience, strategic marketing expertise and a deep understanding of how to translate business objectives into culturally relevant strategies that connect with consumers, drive brand relevance and create meaningful impact.

This role requires someone who can operate as a true thought partner to the client, building strategy side by side, identifying opportunities to drive brand relevance and business impact, and translating broader marketing objectives into actionable plans. Equally important is the ability to move seamlessly between big-picture thinking and the details, getting into the work alongside the team, challenging ideas, guiding execution and ensuring every deliverable meets the highest standard. The ideal candidate is a confident, credible client leader who can quickly build rapport, navigate stakeholder relationships and inspire teams while maintaining a strong command of the business at every level.

**Roles & Responsibilities**
----------------------------

* Lead the business across multiple brands and business units, ensuring strategies and programs align with broader marketing and business objectives.
* Work closely with senior client stakeholders to shape brand strategy, identify opportunities and provide proactive counsel that goes beyond the immediate ask.
* Develop integrated communications strategies that connect brands to consumers and culture, driving earned media, brand relevance and meaningful engagement across editorial, digital, talent, creator and influencer platforms.
* Translate overarching brand and business priorities into clear, actionable plans, ensuring teams understand both the strategy and how to bring it to life.
* Maintain a strong command of the business across all workstreams, knowing when to provide high-level direction and when to get into the details to move work forward.
* Lead and develop account teams, setting priorities, providing strategic direction and ensuring a high standard of thinking, execution and client service.
* Oversee budgets, timelines, staffing and resources across a complex account structure with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
* Actively review, challenge and strengthen strategies, campaign concepts, messaging and client-facing materials. Be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to develop the work alongside the team.
* Partner across agency divisions, including Brand Partnerships, Content, Events, Talent and Social Impact, to bring forward integrated ideas and opportunities.
* Build and maintain relationships across media, talent, creators and cultural tastemakers, leveraging those relationships to create opportunities for clients.
* Identify opportunities to expand the client relationship through new ideas, capabilities and areas of business, while contributing to broader agency growth.

**Skills, Experience & Knowledge**
----------------------------------

* 12+ years of agency experience with a strong background in brand communications, integrated marketing and consumer engagement.
* Proven track record working with major corporate brands, developing strategies that connect business objectives with consumer interests, behaviors and culture.
* Demonstrated ability to bring corporate brands into consumer-facing conversations, making them relevant and engaging across earned media, partnerships, talent and cultural platforms.
* Experience leading large, complex accounts with multiple business units, senior stakeholders and competing priorities.
* Strong strategic marketing instincts with the ability to identify cultural opportunities, understand consumer behavior and translate insights into impactful brand programs.
* Executive presence and the ability to build rapport quickly, earn client trust and confidently lead senior-level conversations.
* Equally comfortable shaping big-picture strategy and getting into the details to ensure strong execution.
* Deep understanding of earned media, influencer marketing, talent partnerships and the evolving communications landscape.
* Established relationships across media, creators, talent and cultural tastemakers.
* Strong experience leading and developing teams, with sound judgment around delegation, accountability and quality control.
* Excellent writing, presentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business objectives into compelling client recommendations.
* Strong financial and operational management skills, including budgeting, forecasting and resource planning.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial agency environment while maintaining structure and accountability.
* Familiarity with platforms such as CreatorIQ, Launchmetrics, Meltwater, Muck Rack and Infegy.

**The Ideal Candidate**
-----------------------

* A strategic partner and trusted counsel who earns client confidence quickly and can confidently lead the business and its senior relationships.
* A leader who sees the bigger picture but is equally comfortable getting into the details to ensure the team delivers at every level.
* A collaborative team builder who keeps people, processes, and ideas moving in the same direction.
* A corporate brand thinker with a genuine instinct for culture, and a curiosity about where brands, entertainment, fashion, and the arts intersect.
