The Role

The Marketing Applied Sciences (MAS) team plays a vital role in providing data-driven solutions to support GM's business objectives. As a Senior Engagement Marketing Strategist, you will be a key contributor and expert in marketing analytics, uncovering valuable insights that drive performance optimization across various channels. This position is perfect for a data-savvy individual who collaborates effectively and connects metrics to marketing outcomes. You will orchestrate cross-functional initiatives, working closely with brand, product, and analytics partners to measure and enhance marketing effectiveness across all media channels.

The right candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and adept at managing complex data and analytical projects. You will bring substantial experience in paid media and digital platforms and have a passion for employing data to resolve business challenges. Additionally, you will excel at communicating findings and concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What you'll do

Act as a strategic partner to brand and performance marketing teams, developing a deep understanding of business and marketing goals to guide data-driven decision-making.

Lead comprehensive campaign performance analyses that weave together paid media, website engagement, audience strategies, and contextual business insights into a compelling narrative.

Collaborate with data scientists, product managers, and channel leads to ensure timely and accurate delivery of measurement guidelines.

Utilize analytics tools (e.g., Databricks, PowerBI) for independent data exploration, validation of findings, and support for in-depth analyses where necessary.

Create clear and persuasive narratives that convert complex data into relevant business insights and actionable recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Drive the standardization and automation of recurring analyses to allow focus on deeper, more strategic work.

Proactively identify performance trends and optimization opportunities.

Help establish MAS best practices, templates, and frameworks for measurement and communication.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field

6+ years of experience in media/performance marketing analytics or a similar role

Strong understanding of media performance KPIs, attribution models, and audience targeting

Proficient with PowerPoint and advanced functions in Excel

Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau

Strong analytical thinking skills with a high attention to detail and a proactive approach

Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

Proficiency with Databricks (SQL, Python) for dataset querying and analysis

Experience in automotive or consumer product marketing

Hands-on familiarity with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and media measurement platforms

Knowledge of campaign optimization and audience segmentation strategies

Understanding of Generative AI prompt crafting and output validation

The salary range for this role is ($106,600 - $163,400). The actual base salary for the successful candidate will vary based on relevant factors.

Bonus potential available based on company and individual performance.

This role is remote, allowing candidates to work from anywhere unless directed otherwise by a manager.
