Senior SEM Campaign Manager

We're a fast-growing digital marketing agency helping businesses accelerate growth through data-driven performance marketing. We're looking for a Senior SEM Campaign Manager who thrives inside advertising platforms and enjoys solving complex technical challenges. Build, manage, and optimize campaigns across Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, Display, YouTube), Microsoft Ads, and emerging paid media platforms.Manage multiple client accounts with significant monthly ad spend.Perform large-scale keyword audits and maintain negative keyword governance across complex account structures.Identify and eliminate fraudulent placements, MFA websites, and low-quality traffic sources.Diagnose Performance Max cannibalization and evaluate incremental performance across channels.Own conversion tracking architecture using GA4, Google Tag Manager, imported conversions, and server-side tagging.Troubleshoot attribution discrepancies and ensure data accuracy across advertising platforms.Optimize Smart Bidding strategies (tCPA, tROAS) with a deep understanding of auction mechanics and machine learning signals.Use Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads Editor, scripts, or APIs to efficiently manage large-scale account updates.Build reporting that clearly explains campaign performance, attribution, and business impact.Analyze campaign and lead data using advanced Excel or Google Sheets; Python or SQL experience is a strong plus.Design and evaluate structured A/B tests across bidding strategies, landing pages, and creative.Present campaign performance and strategic recommendations to clients and internal leadership.Mentor junior team members on technical troubleshooting, campaign optimization, and SEM best practices. What We're Looking For 5+ years of hands-on SEM/PPC experience in a digital marketing agency.Experience managing multiple high-budget paid search accounts simultaneously.Deep expertise with Google Ads, Google Ads Editor, Microsoft Ads, and Google Analytics 4.Strong understanding of Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking, attribution, and server-side tagging.Ability to explain how Smart Bidding and Performance Max allocate spend, optimize signals, and where their limitations exist.Experience identifying fraudulent placements and improving traffic quality.Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas.Python or SQL experience is highly desirable.Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into business recommendations.Google Ads certification preferred.
