Senior SEO Manager – Digital Marketing Agency Location: Buffalo, NY (In-office) Position Type: Full-Time | Leadership Role Compensation: $90,000 + performance-based bonuses About Us: We're a fast-growing digital marketing agency specializing in building elite online strategies for contractors and home service brands across the U.S. Our work combines custom website design, Google Ads, SEO, and conversion optimization to drive real revenue for our clients. Now, we're looking for a visionary Senior SEO Manager to take our organic strategy to the next level. What You'll Do: • Audit and refine existing SEO processes, workflows, and reporting systems • Develop and implement scalable on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies across multiple client accounts • Lead, mentor, and grow an internal SEO team while serving as the agency's go-to SEO expert • Conduct comprehensive technical SEO audits and recommend optimizations for site speed, crawlability, indexing, and mobile usability • Collaborate with content creators, designers, and developers to optimize new and existing web assets • Stay ahead of algorithm updates and SEO trends — bring new tools, ideas, and innovations to the table • Establish and track KPIs to measure performance and drive decision-making across all client accounts • Work directly with Account Managers to align SEO efforts with client goals and expectations • Lead SEO discovery and strategy presentations during onboarding or proposal phases • Build SOPs and playbooks for ongoing training and performance consistency • Manage and optimize local SEO efforts, including Google Business Profile optimization and local citation strategies • Develop and execute advanced link-building strategies and backlink profile management • Implement AI-powered SEO tools and emerging technologies to enhance organic visibility You're a Fit If You: • Have 5+ years of SEO experience with 2+ years in a leadership or strategy role • Have a proven track record of improving rankings, traffic, and conversions across multiple industries • Understand how to blend technical SEO, content strategy, and local SEO • Are obsessed with data — GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, etc.
