Senior Staff Accountant

Extreme Holdings, Inc.,parent company of do it outdoors media, the nation’s largest mobile promotions media company, and dio, an experiential advertising agency specializing in one-of-a-kind brand-to-consumer engagements, is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team. This role will support the accounting operations of four operating entities and a real estate partnership, working closely with the Controller.

The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Controller, the Senior Staff Accountant will play a key role in our day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, reconciliations, revenue and expense accounting, month-end close, and financial reporting.

This is a hands-on role for an accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works independently, solves problems, and looks for ways to improve processes. This position offers strong potential for advancement to a Controller role within 2-3 years.

What You'll Do

Own key components of the monthly and year-end close
Prepare journal entries, accruals, prepaids, and other general ledger activity
Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations
Support revenue accounting, client billing, accounts receivable, and collections
Manage and support accounts payable and expense accounting
Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies
Prepare financial reporting schedules and audit support
Maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
Identify opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes
Partner with Operations and Sales to resolve accounting issues
Assist with financial analysis and other special projects
Assist with payroll processing and posting functions

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4–7 years of progressive accounting experience
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close
Experience with account reconciliations and financial reporting
Strong Excel skills, including filters, lookups and conditional sum formulas
Experience with Sage or similar accounting software
Experience with Paylocity or other payroll processing software
Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

CPA or CPA candidacy is a plus, but not required.
