Senior Vice President Of Development And Marketing Reporting to the President/CEO, the Senior Vice President of Development and Marketing is a dynamic, results-oriented leader who plays a creative and strategic role in driving fundraising, marketing and public relations initiatives. The SVP is responsible for growing revenue, increasing community awareness, strengthening relationships and elevating the mission through creative and strategic storytelling.Responsibilities: Develops and implements a strategic fundraising plan to meet development and programmatic goals, maximizes new opportunities, and significantly grows funding base for long-term sustainabilitySolicits major gifts from individuals and foundations; actively cultivates relationships with potential donorsResponsible for research, development, and execution of all funding proposals;Researches and identifies local, state, federal, corporate and private foundation grant opportunities aligned with the organizational mission; secures significant grant funding on an annual basisCreates engaging digital content for the website, social media, and email platforms, including weekly newsletters, quarterly and annual reports, brochures and strategic plansManages all social media accounts including content planning, posting, monitoring, and community interactionProduces varied multimedia content including photographs, videos, testimonials, graphics, and other digital assets to promote engagement and brand awarenessDevelops internal and external email communications for events, programs, and fundraising initiatives.Represents the organization before community groups, including City Councils, Chambers of Commerce, and Service Organizations; communicates the mission and vision to external stakeholdersSpearheads the Family Executive Council seeking program input from client family membersOversees planning and hosting of events including fundraising galas, employee picnics, holiday events and retreatsAssists with recruiting and onboarding new Board membersOversees external partners including crisis communications and public relations firms, grant writers, advertising agencies, photographers, printers and digital media expertsPromotes the organization-wide brand and promotes visibility in the general public and the communities servedOther duties as assigned or as needed to meet departmental or organizational goalsQualifications & Skills: Creativity, innovation and the ability to translate ideas into action plans and resultsOutstanding writing, editing, verbal, public speaking and presentation skillsAbility to prepare compelling grant proposalsAbility to gain trust and influence stakeholdersAbility to motivate and inspire team membersAbility to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekendsComputer skills including Microsoft Office, donor management software, presentation software and graphic design softwareReliable transportation and the ability to conduct extensive regional travelRequired Licenses Or Experience: Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, Business, Fine Arts or related field10 years of experience managing development and/or marketing programsExperience writing and editing newsletters, press releases, annual reports, and marketing literatureSupervisory experience including building, leading and mentoring a teamDirect fundraising experience (e.g., events, major gifts, revenue-generating campaigns, sponsorship, relationship building, etc.) with a demonstrated track record of fundraising successExperience in marketing and communications for nonprofit, corporate, and/or agency organizations strongly preferredSupervises: Director of Individual and Corporate GivingDevelopment and Marketing CoordinatorSalary: $125,000.00 per yearAuto allowanceOpportunity for performance bonusEEO STATEMENT:We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
