Social Media and Marketing Specialist

Open year-round, we run a busy farm stand business with many different offerings: \\- Farm Stand with on-site bakery with pizza and lunch specials and weekly meals to go \\- Annual CSA program \\- Beautiful events facility for Weddings, Corporate Functions, showers, etc. *It’s hard not to have fun working with delicious baked goods, photographing adorable animals, and promoting all of the fun one can have at a farm. As the Social Media and Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our Social Media strategy, helping to maintain our website, writing and sending our email newsletters, and assisting with other marketing efforts as needed. You will work closely with the farm’s general manager, as well as the education, events, and bakery departments. Responsibilities ● Develop, implement and manage our social media strategy ● Design visual assets in Canva to be used on social media ● Use Later to schedule weekly social media posts ● Regularly respond to customer inquiries submitted via social (FB and IG) ● Maintain farm website and update regularly with new events, weekly menus, and more ● Write and send customer newsletters ● Measure the success of social media campaigns and suggest improvements ● Monitor customer engagement, and act as the public face of the farm on all social media platforms ● Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies ● Periodically add items to online store for promotion online ● Assist other teams at the farm (events, education) with creating collateral as needed Requirements / Qualifications ● 2+ years of experience managing social media for a customer-facing brand ● Demonstrated expertise with Facebook, Instagram and Twitter ● Strong knowledge of social media platform best practices ● Experience using Canva, Later, and Constant Contact (or similar tools) ● Familiarity with web design and publishing (specifically Wordpress and Square) ● Great interpersonal and communication skills ● Excellent multitasking skills and comfort juggling multiple projects at once ● Ability to capture aesthetically pleasing photos (with a smartphone or the farm camera) is a major plus Smolak Farms is an equal opportunity employer.
