Position Summary

**POSITION SUMMARY**

Responsible for the implementation of the WRC marketing/social media plan; maintaining department website; managing and building social media presence with the goal of increasing community and participation in WRC programs.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

* Cultivating new communities and managing online communities using Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok other social media as appropriate
* Collaborate on and implement Social Media Plan
* Works closely with WRC team to ensure proper content and messaging executed online is relevant to organizational goals
* Aggregate and/or create video and art content
* Update department website
* And, other duties as assigned

Minimum Job Requirements

* Must have 15-28 hours of availability to be in office Monday- Friday during working hours (8am-5pm). Remote work will not be permitted for this position.
* Skill in the use of computers, preferably in a PC, Windows-based operating environment.
* Strong creative and editorial writing skills.
* Strong interviewing skills and the ability to create timely and newsworthy stories.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse university and health care community.
* Strong proof reading and editing skills
* Ability to provide technical coordination and management of development and/or implementation projects in area of expertise.
* Social media program planning and implementation skills.

**Preferred Requirements**

* Interest in social media, graphic design, and/or marketing
* Ability to design fliers and marketing materials with a quick turnaround time
* Ability to collaborate with a variety of groups
