Role Overview

As a Social Media Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping our brand presence and storytelling strategy across social channels. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders, lead the development of serialized content, and ensure our social presence is innovative, engaging, and impactful.
**We currently have two opportunities available:**
* **Social Media Manager, Employee Branding** – Focused on employer brand storytelling, talent attraction, culture content, employee advocacy, and workforce communications.
* **Social Media Manager, AI** – Focused on AI-related content, thought leadership, product storytelling, innovation narratives, and emerging technology trends.
Key Responsibilities

### Content Operations & Review Leadership
* Oversee and streamline complex content review cycles, ensuring all social content meets brand, legal, and compliance standards before publication.
### Cross-Functional Project Management
* Lead the planning and execution of multi-part content series, coordinating with creative, legal, communications, marketing, and subject matter experts to deliver cohesive campaigns.
### Performance Analysis & Reporting
* Analyze content performance and audience trends using social media reporting dashboards and analytics tools.
* Translate insights into actionable recommendations for content optimization and audience growth.
### Community & Trend Analysis
* Monitor and interpret audience sentiment, emerging topics, platform updates, and industry trends to inform content strategy and engagement approaches.
### Strategic Storytelling
* Champion authentic, audience-centric storytelling practices across all social channels, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with brand values.
### Content Calendar & Workflow Management
* Maintain and optimize social content calendars, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with broader marketing and communications initiatives.
### Stakeholder Communication
* Serve as the primary point of contact for internal partners, providing regular updates, facilitating feedback loops, and ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.

### Employee Branding Role
* Develop social content that showcases company culture, employee experiences, career opportunities, and employer brand initiatives.
* Partner with Talent Acquisition, HR, Internal Communications, and Employee Resource Groups to amplify authentic employee stories.
* Support employee advocacy programs and recruitment marketing campaigns.
### AI Role
* Create and execute social strategies centered on AI innovation, thought leadership, and industry trends.
* Partner with product marketing, engineering, research, and communications teams to translate complex AI topics into engaging social content.
* Monitor emerging AI conversations and identify opportunities for audience engagement and brand visibility.
Requirements
------------
* 6+ years of experience managing social media operations for large brands or organizations, preferably in technology, media, or corporate communications.
* Demonstrated experience leading complex content review and approval processes.
* Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using social media reporting dashboards and analytics tools.
* Proven ability to oversee and deliver multi-part content series or campaigns involving multiple stakeholders.
* Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
* Ability to synthesize data, audience insights, and industry trends into clear, actionable strategies.
* Experience managing content calendars and cross-functional workflows.
* Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in highly visible or fast-paced environments.
* Familiarity with legal, policy, and compliance considerations in social media publishing.
* Experience in editorial, content strategy, employer branding, or technology communications.
* Experience with crisis communications or rapid-response social media workflows.
* Knowledge of employer branding, recruitment marketing, AI, emerging technologies, or thought leadership content development.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
