Part-Time Social Media Marketing Associate
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Marketing Director
Employment Type: Part-Time, 15–20 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Hybrid — Charleston, SC
About Ibu Movement
Ibu Movement is a Charleston-based brand connecting global artisans with conscious consumers through curated
fashion, advocacy, and storytelling. Rooted in a deep respect for craft and culture, Ibu works alongside women
artisan partners around the world to share their stories, celebrate their work, and create meaningful impact. Our
family of brands — including Ibu, Ibu Foundation, Ibu Atelier, and The Fringe Road — is united by a commitment
to beauty, purpose, and community.
About the Role
We're looking for a creative and curious Part-Time Social Media Marketing Associate to join our brand marketing
team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is passionate about social media, storytelling through
content, and interested in global craft, artisanship, and the power of fashion to create change. You'll work closely
with our Contract Marketing Director to bring the Ibu story to life on Instagram and Facebook — managing the
social media content calendar, engaging our community, and using data to help us grow and improve. This is a
hands-on role with real creative ownership and direct exposure to a mission-driven brand marketing operation. We're
looking for someone who is self-sufficient and takes initiative — this role requires someone who can run
independently with minimal hand-holding, bring their own creative ideas to the table, and execute with consistency
and professionalism. This role has the potential to grow into a full-time position and expand to additional social
platforms for the right candidate who demonstrates strong performance, reliability, and brand alignment.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
● Create and schedule daily and weekly content across Instagram and Facebook, maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual aesthetic
● Monitor comments, messages, and brand mentions, engaging with the community in a timely, on-brand manner
● Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure social content is aligned with the broader content calendar, product launches, and upcoming events
● Stay current on platform trends, algorithm updates, and emerging content formats and bring proactive recommendations to the team
● Write, design, and produce social content including static posts, stories, reels, and short-form video — from concept through to posting
● Collaborate with the marketing team to produce polished, on-brand visual assets using tools such as Canva or similar
● Maintain and update the social content calendar, ensuring a consistent publishing cadence in alignment with brand messaging and campaign themes
Analytics & Reporting
●Track and compile performance metrics across Instagram and Facebook, including reach, engagement, clicks, and conversions
● Assist in preparing weekly and monthly reports to share insights with the marketing team
● Use data to identify what's working, flag opportunities for improvement, and contribute to an ongoing test-and-learn approach to content
Qualifications
●1–3 years of experience in a marketing, content, or social media role — internships and freelance work count
● Familiarity with Instagram and Facebook, including native analytics tools and content scheduling
● Strong writing skills with a sharp eye for detail, brand voice, and visual storytelling
● Basic proficiency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, or similar
● Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple content streams at once
● Genuine enthusiasm for global craft, artisanship, fashion, and mission-driven brands
● Located in or near Charleston, SC
Nice to Have
● Experience with social media scheduling tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer, or Sprout Social
● Basic video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar
● Familiarity with Meta Business Suite and paid social basics
● Understanding of SEO fundamentals and how they apply to social content
What We Offer
● A meaningful role with real creative ownership at a mission-driven brand
● Exposure to a multi-brand marketing operation spanning fashion, artisanship, and nonprofit work
● Flexible hybrid schedule — approximately 15–20 hours per week
● A collaborative, creative team that cares deeply about the work and the people behind it
● Compensation dependent on experience, potential to grow into a FT role depending on performance
