Job SummaryBlake's Orchard & Cider Mill (BOCM) is hiring a Social Media Marketing Specialist to lead day-to-day strategy, publishing, and community management across our brand portfolio. Sitting at the center of our marketing team in Armada, MI, this person will own the social calendar end-to-end - setting strategy, briefing creative, scheduling and publishing across platforms, engaging our community, and reporting on performance. The Social Media Marketing Specialist will partner closely with a dedicated Content Creator who drives the bulk of photo, video, and Reel production, but should also be confident jumping behind the camera to capture and post content in real time when the moment calls for it. The right candidate is a strategic, trend-savvy operator who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment and can translate cultural moments into measurable social growth.Key Responsibilities Own Social Strategy: Develop, document, and execute the social media strategy across all Blake's brand accounts, aligned to overall marketing campaigns, seasonal moments, and business goals.Build & Manage the Calendar: Maintain a forward-looking, multi-platform content calendar; plan content in advance, batch where possible, and adapt in real time for cultural and brand moments.Press Publish: Manage daily publishing across Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, and emerging platforms—including captions, keywords, and hashtag strategies aligned to SEO and content performance goals.Lead Community Management: Monitor and respond to comments, DMs, mentions, and tags daily across all accounts, maintaining brand voice and turning interactions into loyalty.Partner with the Content Creator: Brief the Content Creator on shot lists, priorities, and creative direction so produced content maps back to the social strategy and calendar.Create When Needed: Capture, edit, and post your own photos, videos, and Reels in real time at events, in tasting rooms, and on the orchard - especially for spontaneous, trend-driven, or in-the-moment storytelling.Stay Trend-Obsessed: Track social trends, platform updates, audio, and cultural moments daily; translate them into actionable content opportunities for our brands.Measure & Optimize: Own KPIs and reporting - track engagement, reach, follower growth, and conversion; deliver weekly insights and use data to continuously refine strategy.Influencer & Partnerships: Identify, vet, and coordinate with influencers, creators, and partners to extend brand reach; manage outreach, deliverables, and on-site logistics.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Director, retail, tasting room, and events teams to support launches, campaigns, and promotions.Event Coverage: Attend and provide live social coverage of major Blake's events, festivals, and brand moments throughout the year.Multi-Channel Management: We currently have 4 brands this position manages across multiple platforms. The pages and platforms have potential to increase with the business growth.Qualifications, Skills & RequirementsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3+ years of experience managing social media for a consumer-facing brand, with demonstrated ownership of strategy, publishing, and community management.Deep, current expertise across Instagram, Tik Tok, and Facebook - platform mechanics, algorithm trends, formats, and best practices.Proven ability to grow audiences and engagement, supported by examples and metrics from prior roles.Strong copywriting and brand voice skills - able to write captions and respond to community messages that feel native to each platform and on-brand.Comfortable shooting and editing photo, video, and Reels on a phone (Cap Cut, Reels editor, Lightroom Mobile, or similar) for fast-turn social posting.Hands-on experience with social management and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, or similar).Highly organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple brand calendars at once without dropping balls.Strong cross-functional communicator who can brief creative partners and align with marketing,…
