• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience • Experience programming with at least one software programming language • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent • Strong proven ability in building high-performance, highly-available and scalable distributed systems • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scale-ability, and availability • Knowledge about Hadoop, Spark, Hive, or any other distributed data processing engine is a definite plus! We are looking for a highly motivated, top notch engineer to revamp existing systems and build new ones from the ground up. • Mentor and assist in the career development of junior engineers. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Amazon is a total compensation company.
