Software Engineering Manager, Supplier Advertising

Wayfair is on a path to be the world’s largest online destination for the home. Wayfair is investing heavily in building a world class advertising business and the Wayfair Advertising team owns features that form the core of our onsite advertising business. You will be involved in every aspect of the process from idea generation, business analysis and technical design through to software development across a variety of technologies. We Are a Match Because You Have: • Experience working directly within engineering teams • Experience partnering with product or program management team • Experience managing a team of high caliber Software Engineers developing complex, world class, scalable software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operations • Experience in leading the definition and development of multi tier web services • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems • Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers • Experience analyzing business and operational metrics. We Are a Match Because You Also Have : • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy • Experience in the digital advertising or marketing space • Familiarity with the technical aspects of digital / display advertising OR familiarity with high speed, ML heavy systems
