Shreveport Transit Management, Inc. is a quasi-governmental instrumentality of the City of Shreveport responsible for managing and operating the Shreveport Area Transit System (SporTran).Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesManage daily operations of the Transit Advertising Program.Establishes and maintains relationships with customers, employees, partnering agencies, and stakeholders.Trains staff on how to properly install and remove all media advertisements.Oversees installation of all advertisements and manages quality control process.Works closely with staff and vendors to ensure on-time and accurate transit advertising campaign installation across multiple mediums, including interior and exterior bus advertising, digital ads, bus benches, and bus shelters.Work with the Maintenance Management team to ensure the safe removal of all advertisements without damaging vehicles.Identifying and researching potential clients and anticipating their advertising needsCommunicating pricing and terms to clients, negotiating sales and renewals, and preparing advertising proposals and contracts.Staying engaged with the broader media advertising community within the market.Tracks inventory and maintains records of in-market campaigns and available ad space on all vehicles, shelters, benches, screens, etc.Oversees printing and production of advertising creatives.Create and maintain accurate campaign records and documentation.Documents campaign installations and provides proof of completion to customers.Prepares monthly progress reports for leadership.Performs related duties as required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesExcellent oral and communication skillsExcellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlinesDetail-oriented and good organizational skillsWork effectively and efficiently to achieve goals in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, local businesses, and the general publicAbility to compile, analyze, and communicate dataProficiency using Microsoft OfficeMust be able to work outside of traditional 8a-5p hours.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.Preferred Qualification Candidates for this position are preferred to have a bachelors degree or college coursework in advertising, marketing, or related field.Minimum Qualifications Minimum of three years of relevant work experienceCOMPENSATIONThis position offers a competitive base salary of $35,000 + 6 - 10% sales commissions (based on advertising platform) upon completion of training.
