Visiting Faculty - College of FAHSS

The University of Massachusetts Lowell invites applications for a full-time Visiting Faculty of Southeast Asian American / Southeast Asian Diasporic Studies, with a faculty appointment in one of the following departments as appropriate: History, Political Science, or Sociology. The successful candidate will... have a 3-3 teaching load, developing and teaching courses in Southeast Asian American/Southeast Asian Diasporic and Asian American Studies, including in areas of specialization. Minimum Qualifications (Required): • Ph.D. in relevant humanities or social science field (ABD will be considered; however, the candidate must have completed the doctorate before the appointment begins) • A promising research portfolio with a focus on Southeast Asian American communities • At least one year of teaching experience at the undergraduate level • Demonstrated potential for curriculum development • The ability to work effectively with diverse groups Preferred Qualifications: • Experience working with Asian American communities, particularly Southeast Asian American communities Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
