This role has a focus on generating revenues for the New Tropic in Miami, although you would work with our other sales team, Editorial team and other members of the company to share best practices and drive the company forward.Who are we?We believe in doing the right thing for our clients, our partners, our people, our audiences, our communities and our shareholders. You will also build our reputation and wider awareness within the media industry and amongst our target client base.Your role and key responsibilities include:Initiating conversations with prospective leads and responding to inbound sales enquiriesBuilding strategic relationships with key decision-makers at organizations in MiamiDelivering the sales targets set by the BoardBuilding innovative sales approaches that help WhereBy.Us stand out from the crowdRepresenting the company at relevant meetings and events in Miami: developing relationships across the target sectorsProviding insights and feedback obtained from commercial conversations to help inform our marketing and proposition developmentWorking closely with your colleagues to refine our sales processes, including identifying suitable tools and data sets that will expedite lead generationDiligently tracking and reporting on weekly activity and key accountsBeing a key point of contact for prospective and existing clients; the ability to become a trusted partner to clients will be critical to your success in this roleWho you are:You love solution sales You’re naturally able to communicate complex ideasYou are pro-active, decisive and action-orientedYou are reliable, professional and well-organizedYou are persuasive and inventiveYou are comfortable delivering against revenue targetsYou are comfortable acting autonomously and creativelyYou are able to conduct high-level conversations with clients and align to product messagingYou are commercially savvy; comfortable negotiating and astute when it comes to the detailsYou are an active listener, able to gain a good understanding of client needs and to draw upon your knowledge of WhereBy.Us to address themAs Sales Executive, you have already:Had experience working in a sales or business development role, ideally within media, newsletters, communications tools or advertisingEstablished a proven track record of building a sustained pipeline of leads and with experience of managing these within traditional CRMDeveloped a network of contacts across multiple sectors across Miami and surrounding areasDemonstrated the ability to think laterally and creativelyDemonstrated the ability as a ‘self-starter’ - to work autonomously, to build relationships, and deliver targets.Had experience in pitching and presenting to clientsDemonstrated a passion for digital media, and ideally newsletters; you should be able to clearly articulate the value of this medium and how it can complement or replace existing elements of an organization’s communications strategyLocation – within the Miami areaPackage – salary, commission & equity (considered after a year’s employment TBC)Employment Type - Full-TimeMinimum Experience - 3+ years
