Responsibilities • Develop and implement engaging social media campaigns across multiple platforms to increase awareness of our programs and initiatives • Create compelling multimedia content including videos, photos, blog posts, and newsletters that highlight our impact stories and community events • Manage the organization’s online presence by updating websites, monitoring analytics, and optimizing content for maximum reach and engagement • Collaborate with staff to plan promotional events, campaigns, and outreach activities that align with organizational goals • Assist in designing marketing materials such as flyers, posters, and digital graphics that communicate key messages effectively • Track media coverage, social media metrics, and outreach efforts to evaluate campaign success and inform future strategies • Support the organization’s branding efforts by maintaining consistent messaging and visual identity across all channels Requirements • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a college or university program related to marketing, communications, media production, or a related field • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for storytelling • Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) and familiarity with content management tools • Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment • Highly organized with excellent time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously • Passionate about community service, social justice, and advancing equity through creative outreach VISTA is a program of AmeriCorps which focuses on service-related jobs (see americorps.gov).
